Abengoa Yield appoints Santiago Seage as managing director

London, United Kingdom - Abengoa Yield, an energy company, appoints Santiago Seage as managing director.


Mr. Seage served as Chief Executive Officer since Abengoa Yield’s creation until his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Abengoa S.A., a position from which he has resigned on November 27, 2015.

In addition, Mr. Seage has resigned as Chairman of the Board of Abengoa Yield and the Board of Directors has elected the current lead independent director, Daniel Villalba, as Chairman.

Mr. Seage was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abengoa Yield in May 2015. He was also appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Abengoa in that moment.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Seage served as Chief Executive Officer of Abengoa Yield since its incorporation in December 2013. In 2006 he was named Abengoa Solar's CEO and previously, Mr. Seage was Abengoa's Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development. Before joining Abengoa, he was a partner with McKinsey & Company.
