London, United Kingdom - April 11, 2014, London, United Kingdom - African Eagle Resources announced that it is proposed that Nick Clarke and Kola Karim will be appointed to the board.

Mr. Clarke went to the Camborne School of Mines graduating with a BSc in mining and is an entrepreneur having founded and sold two trading house businesses. Since 2010, Mr. Clarke has been a private investor in a number of resource companies, including African Eagle Resources plc.
Mr. Karim is Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Shoreline Energy International, an energy and infrastructure company focused on Africa.
The company also announced that it is proposed that Julian McIntyre, Venkat Siva, Mark Thompson and Paul Colucci will resign with effect from the appointment date of Mr. Clarke and Mr. Karim or earlier.
Mr. McIntrye is the founder of MWB Capital, a private investment company focused on investing in credit and equities. He was the founder and controlling shareholder of Gateway Communications Group, a pan-African telecommunications business that operated in over 40 African countries and was ultimately sold to Vodacom in 2008.
Mr. McIntrye has previously held senior positions in the financial markets divisions of Deutsche Bank and Chase Futures. He is also a Non-executive Director of Ambrian Capital plc.
Mr. Thompson is the former Chief Investment Officer and co-founder of Galena Asset Management Ltd, the fund management arm of Trafigura Beheer b.v., and latterly a partner at Apollo Management, one of the world's largest alternative asset managers.
Mr. Thompson has extensive experience in raising capital for natural resource companies, portfolio management, commodity derivatives trading and personal investment in the natural resources sector.
Mr. Thompson is executive Chairman of Treliver Minerals Ltd and a non-executive Director of North River Resources plc, as well as holding a number of directorships in private companies engaged in mineral exploration. He holds an M.A. from Oxford University, having completed his undergraduate degree in Physics.
Mr. Siva has more than six years of experience in finance as an investor and fund manager, and has managed McIntyre Partners' portfolio since 2009. At McIntyre Partners, he led the due-diligence, deal execution and investment management efforts across several transactions in the energy, bulk commodities and infrastructure sectors. ■
