London, United Kingdom - February 6, 2013, London, United Kingdom - African Mining & Exploration, a gold exploration company, announces that the board of directors has been restructured with four new directors.

Mike Johnson, Charles Cannon-Brookes and Clive Harrison have been appointed as non-executive directors alongside the curent CEO Mark Jones.
Mr. Johnson will become chairman. He is an Emeritus Professor of the University of Liverpool. He was Chairman of Glebe Mines Ltd and the co-founder of KimCor Diamonds plc and is a Director of Columbus Copper. He holds a number of advisory positions with national governments and international agencies, including the World Bank and United Nations (Environment Programme).
Mr. Johnson is also retained as an external adviser to several international companies in the extractive industry, specifically Rio Tinto plc, New Boliden S.A. and Lundin Mining. He also advises Morgan Sindall plc and British Nuclear Fuels Ltd on environmental strategy and technology.
Mr. Cannon-Brookes is the Investment Director of FSA-regulated Arlington Group Asset Management Limited and currently acts as the investment manager to Praetorian. Previously, he managed Arlington Special Situations Fund, a Cayman domiciled OEIC and he has advised and sat on the board of a number of other funds and trusts in a non-executive capacity.
Mr. Harrison is a graduate of Cambridge University who joined the London Stockbrokers Panmure Gordon in 1961 and became a member of the London Stock Exchange in 1965. He founded Fiske & Co Stockbrokers in 1973 and has been successively Senior Partner, Chief Executive and Chairman of what is now Fiske Plc.
Mr. Jones is a mining engineer with more than 30 years of experience in mining production and associated businesses including explosives and heavy industrial equipment, more than 20 of them in Africa. His global exposure to mining spans all continents, with specific expertise in gold and base metals in West Africa, Zimbabwe, South Africa and the former Soviet Union.
Mr. Jones is a graduate of the Camborne School of Mines. He has an MBA and is currently a non-executive director of Aurum Mining plc and Tulpar Gold plc. ■
