Vancouver, BC, Canada - November 12, 2012, Vancouver, BC, Canada - Aguila American Gold, a natural resource development company, announced that it has elected John Huguet, Nick DeMare, John Bortnak, Dušan Berka, Christopher Verrico and Blair Way as directors.

At a directors meeting, the directors appointed John Huguet as Chairman, Blair Way as President and Chief Executive Officer, ick DeMare as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary and James McCrea as Vice-President, Exploration.
Mr. Huguet has more than 35 years of success within the resource development sector. e has hands on executive experience in Peru, Chile, Venezuela, Argentina, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Mexico, Canada and the United States. He is a former member of the Business Council on National Issues, the Construction Industry Development Council, a former Director of SMABC and CMA Councils, and former Division Chairman of the Children’s Miracle Telethon Network. Heis a Fellow of the Certified Management Accountants and is a graduate of the Executive Development Program, University of Western Ontario.
Since May, 1991, Mr. DeMare has been the President of Chase Management Ltd., a private company which provides a broad range of administrative, management and financial services to private and public companies engaged in mineral exploration and development, gold and silver production, oil and gas exploration and production and venture capital. He currently serves as an officer and director of other public reporting companies. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of British Columbia and is a member in good standing of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.
Mr. Bortnak was with Commonwealth Construction for 24 years in various management roles including operations, and in 1990 promoted to Vice President of Business Development. In 2005 served as Vice President of Business Development of VECO Engineering, parent company of Commonwealth, he served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development of Andean American Mining, and is an independent Director of Aguila American Gold.
Mr. Berka has more than 35 years international experience in Engineering, Marketing & Sales and Business Administration. During the past 26 years he has served as a Director and Officer of various public companies traded on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchanges and the NASDAQ System in USA. He is a graduate engineer with a M.Sc. (Dipl.Ing.) degree from the Slovak Technical University, Bratislava, Slovakia and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C.
Mr. Verrico has 25 years of mine development/operations experience within B.C., Alaska and the Canadian Territories managing and contracting open pit mining, bulk ore handling and northern infrastructure construction operations.He is a Director of a number of Canadian junior public companies.
Mr. Way was most recently, Vice President, Project Director, member of the Executive Management Team, reporting to the CEO of Ventana Gold’s LaBodega project in Colombia Prior to Ventana Gold Corp., Blair served as President and Project Director for Oceanagold Philippines on the Didipio Gold Copper project. Prior to that Mr. Way was Project Manager Non Ferrous Group with Hatch Associates in Brisbane, and he was Project Director for Major Projects for BHP Billiton (QNI Pty Ltd) in Townsville, Queensland. ■
