Dallas, Tx., USA — Amegy Bank N.A. announced that Matthew H. Hildreth, president and CEO of its Dallas region, has been elected chairman and CEO.[break]
Mr. Hildreth has more than 25 years of corporate finance and commercial bank experience. Mr. Hildreth began his banking career in Dallas specializing in serving the investment and commercial banking needs of middle market and corporate companies throughout the Southwest. Prior to joining Amegy in 2006 as president and CEO for the Dallas region, he served as senior vice president and a commercial banking division manager at JPMorgan Chase in Dallas.
Mr. Hildreth is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and finance.
William Kirk Wiginton has been elected president of Dallas region.
Mr. Wiginton will work together with Mr. Hildreth as president of Amegy’s Dallas region and will join the bank’s Dallas Advisory Board of Directors.
With more than 30 years of experience in banking, Mr. Wiginton began his career at Allied Bank of Texas in Houston as a loan officer. He went on to hold several leadership positions at community banks throughout Texas. He joined Amegy Bank in 1997 as a vice president and commercial lender, and has risen through the ranks of the Houston bank. He has held key leadership roles throughout his time with Amegy, partnering with several other executives in guiding regional commercial lending strategy as well as Amegy’s community banking partnership.
Mr. Wiginton attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and real estate.
