Houston, Tx., USA - April 2, 2009, Houston, Tx., USA - Apache Corporation announced several changes in the company's regional and corporate leadership teams.

Mr. Tom Chambers will assume new responsibilities as vice president - Planning and Investor Relations. He has been vice president - Corporate Planning since September 2001. Mr. Chambers earned his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He joined Apache in 1995 as director of Corporate Planning. Previously, he worked in the international business development group at Pennzoil Exploration and Production and held a variety of management positions with the BP plc group of companies.
Mr. Bob Dye will take on new responsibilities as vice president - Corporate Services, leading the Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Corporate Outreach, Aviation, Corporate Land and Information Technology groups. He has been vice president - Investor Relations since May 1997. A chemical engineering graduate from the University of Oklahoma, he received his MBA from Stanford University. Mr. Dye joined the company in 1992 as director of Corporate Planning and became director of Investor Relations in 1995. Previously, he was planning manager for the Offshore Division of BP Exploration.
Mr. John Bedingfield will become region vice president - Australia and managing director, Apache Energy Ltd. in Perth. He has been deputy managing director and exploration manager in Perth since August 2005. Mr. Bedingfield holds bachelor's and master's degrees in geoscience from Northeast Louisiana University. Mr. Bedingfield joined the company in Houston in 1998 as senior staff geophysicist and spent six years in Cairo as geophysical manager and later was promoted to exploration manager. Prior to joining Apache, he worked at Exxon Company, USA, Esso Production Malaysia, Petronas, and Exxon Exploration Company in various domestic and international assignments.
Mr. Jon Graham will move to Buenos Aires to become region vice president - Argentina. He has been vice president - Reservoir Engineering in Canada since 2006. Mr. Graham holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri - Rolla and his MBA from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Graham joined the company in 1994 as reservoir engineering manager in the Rockies Region. He was also reservoir engineering manager for the Western and Gulf of Mexico regions, Gulf Coast Onshore Region vice president, and engineering general manager for Apache Egypt Companies. Prior to joining Apache, Mr. Graham was associated with Hunt Oil Co., Pacific Enterprises Oil Co., Santa Fe Minerals and Amoco.
Mr. Rob Johnston will return to Tulsa as region vice president - Central Region. He has been region vice president - Argentina since 2006. Mr. Johnston holds a bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Tulsa. Mr. Johnston joined Apache in 1982 as a geologist in the Mid-Continent Region. He transferred to Cairo as development manager in 1996 and to Calgary as exploitation manager in 2000. He also headed the Central Region from 2002 until 2006.
Mr. Tom Voytovich will become region vice president and general manager, Apache Egypt Companies. He has been region vice president - Central Region since March 2006. Mr. Voytovich received a bachelor's degree in geological engineering from Michigan Tech.
Mr. Voytovich joined the company in Tulsa in 1993. He worked in the Reservoir Engineering and Exploration groups before being appointed Central Region exploration manager in 2004. Prior to joining Apache, Mr. Voytovich worked in geological, engineering and management positions with Shell Oil Co., Petro-Lewis, Berexco, and Hillin-Simon Oil Co. ■
