ARES Corporation promotes William Vantine to president

Burlingame, Ca.,USA - October 13, 2010, Burlingame, Ca.,USA - ARES Corporation, a provider of risk and project management software, announced the promotion of William Vantine to president.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Vantine had previously served in a number of senior executive roles with ARES including, President of the Risk and Technology Solutions Division and most recently as President of the Software Solutions Division.

Mr. Vantine holds graduate degrees from the George Washington University and a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech.

Replacing Mr. Vantine as President of the Software Solutions Division is Michael Jackson, who previously served as vice president and deputy manager of the Software Solutions Division.

Prior to joining ARES in 2009, Mr. Jackson served as chairman and CEO for Marketron International, a software company he founded in 1995.

Under Mr. Jackson's leadership, Marketron became the dominant provider of business management solutions that were licensed by more than 80% of the top broadcast groups in North America. Mr. Jackson is a graduate of the University of Southern California.

Additionally, Capt. Robert Curbeam (USN, Retired) is promoted to President, Aerospace and Defense Division. Prior to joining ARES in 2007, Capt. Curbeam had a distinguished career as a NASA astronaut and held several key positions including Deputy Director for Safety & Mission Assurance.
