Effective April 1, 2016, Steven Landry shall be appointed Chief Executive Officer, and Tom Orysiuk shall continue as President.
Mr. Landry was most recently the Chief Development Officer for ATCO Ltd & Canadian Utilities Limited in Calgary, and prior to that the Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer for ATCO Australia.
Prior to that, Mr. Landry spent 27 years at the Chrysler Group where he held various global and executive positions including: Chief Executive Officer and President of DaimlerChrysler Canada, President of Chrysler Europe and Executive Vice President of North America at Chrysler LLC.
He holds an MBA from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
In addition, effective May 6, 2016, Pat Priestner Priestner shall assume the role of non-executive Chair of the Board of Directors, which he shall hold with a target retirement date at the Annual General Meeting in May 2017.
Mr. Priestner is the Founder of Canada One Auto Group Ltd. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of AutoCanada Inc. (formerly, AutoCanada Income Fund) from May 11, 2006 to January 01, 2015. He has over 30 years of experience in the retail automotive industry including 25 years as a franchised automobile dealership owner.
He served as the President and Dealer Principal of Canada One Auto Group Ltd. (now an operating entity of AutoCanada Income Fund) since 1993. He served as Sales Manager and General Sales Manager at Chinook Chrysler, from 1977 to 1981. He served as General Manager and a Partner in Oxford Dodge.
He commenced his retail automotive career at the age of 17 at Chinook Chrysler. He was the number one salesman in Alberta and in the top ten sales for Chrysler Canada in 1975. He has been Vice President of the Alberta Dealers Association Advertising Council since 1998. He serves as the Chairman of AutoCanada Inc.
He has served as the Chairman of the Dealer Council DaimlerChrysler - Western Region. He has been a Director of AutoCanada since May 11, 2006 and AutoCanada Inc. since December 31, 2009. He serves as a Director of Rocky Mountain Equipment Ltd. He served as a Director of Rocky Mountain Dealerships, Inc. since October 26, 2007 until May 6, 2015.
Mr. Priestner completed high school and one year at the University of Calgary.
Steve Rose, Chief Operating Officer, shall retire from his position effective October 1, 2016. ■
