Avia Health Informatics changes the leadership
Mr. Giddings has more than 25 years of experience at director level, including Chairman and CEO, in public and private companies in different market sectors, including Highcare Group and Antares/Harrison Industries.
Mr. Barry serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the Harrison Industries and SW Wood. He has held management positions in Ford Motor Corporation, Gulf Oil Corporation, Blue Circle Plc and Guinness. Mr. Giddings is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Electrical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer. He has earned an M.B.A., C.Eng, FIET and a Bachelors degree, with honors in Engineering.
The company also announced that Roger Lane-Smith, Non-Executive Director, will become Non-Executive Chairman, and Jeremy Dale, Clinical Director, has been named Interim Chief Executive.
Mr. Lane-Smith is a Senior Consultant at DLA Piper UK LLP and he has been serving in this capacity since May 2005. He was a Senior Partner and Executive Chairman at DLA Piper Rudnick Group Cary LLP and DLA Piper UK LLP, from 1998 to April 2005. Mr. Lane-Smith is a Non-Executive Director of a number of United Kingdom quoted companies.
Mr. Lane-Smith has been the Non-Executive Chairman and Non-Executive Director at Avia Health Informatics plc since August 15, 2012 and February 10, 2010 respectively. He serves as a Non Executive Director of MS International and Timpsons, and he serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of Dolphin Capital Investors Limited. He has been a Non Executive Director of Civica plc since May 30, 2007 and WH Ireland Group since November 24, 2006.
Mr. Lane-Smithserves as Director of GBM Support Services Group, Lanebridge Investment Management, Mostyn Estates, Cholmondeley Farms, Turley Associates, The Alderley Group, Alderley Investment, Alderley Industries and DLA & Partners. He has also served as a Director of Chuckledan Properties, Sandymere, Punch Taverns and Paymentshield Holdings, and he is a Council Member of the CBI.
Following undergraduate studies at Cambridge and London universities, Mr. Dale undertook vocational training in Oxford before being appointed as a GP Clinical Lecturer, and later a Senior Clinical Lecturer, at King’s College London. Appointed as a Professor at Warwick University in 1997, Mr. Dale was one of the first clinical academics to be appointed by the University. In 2008, he joined the Plain Healthcare board as its Clinical Director. ■
