BAE Systems: Gene Renuart vice president of national security

Arlington, Va., USA - September 16, 2010, Arlington, Va., USA - BAE Systems, a global defense company, announced that Victor E. Renuart, Jr., U.S. Air Force general (Ret.), has joined the company as vice president for national security.

Mr. Renuart assumes this role following a 39-year career with the Air Force, where he most recently served as commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.

Mr. Renuart also recently served as senior military assistant to the Secretary of Defense and director for strategic plans and policy for the Joint Staff at the Pentagon.

Mr. Renuart joined the Air Force as a flight instructor and was an active pilot throughout his career. He has served in leadership roles all over the world, commanding a NATO support group and two fighter wings and serving in senior roles in seven joint assignments.
