Bank of England's HR director Catherine Brown to leave the firm

Londoon, United Kingdom - July 17, 2013, Londoon, United Kingdom - The Bank of England announced that its executive director for human resources Catherine Brown has decided to leave the bank.

Ms. Brown was appointed Executive Director, Human Resources, in January 2011. Prior to joining the Bank, she was the Chief Operating Officer and Global Director of Human Resources for Apax Partners, the private equity investment group. Earlier in her career she worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in London and the Middle East.

Ms. Brown subsequently had her own consulting business specialising in organisational development in financial institutions in the City and abroad, most notably in Mongolia, Russia and Vietnam. In the early 1990's she spent five years as a banker with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, including two years in Kazakhstan.
