Bill Tyndall joins Duke Energy as senior VP

Charlotte, N.C., USA - April 10, 2009, Charlotte, N.C., USA - Bill Tyndall has joined Duke Energy's Strategy, Policy and Regulatory group as senior vice president, federal government and regulatory affairs.

Mr. Tyndall served at NatSource, a company that provides asset management, origination, and advisory and research services to companies required to reduce emissions. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Tyndall served as the Minority Counsel to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. In this capacity, he counseled Congressman John Dingell and Chairman Henry Waxman (then ranking members) and other Democratic members of the Committee on issues involving the Clean Air Act and other environmental statutes. Mr. Tyndall also served as one of the key staff negotiators for the last major environmental bill to pass Congress, the Safe Drinking Water Act of 1
