Union, N.J., USA - December 21, 2009, Union, N.J., USA - Breeze-Eastern Corporation, a manufacturer of lifting and pulling devices, announces that Robert L. G. White, President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director will step down and retire, effective January 4, 2010.

Mr. White was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Breeze-Eastern Corporation on February 25, 2003. Mr. White graduated from Glen Ridge High School, Glen Ridge, New Jersey in 1960. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Lafayette College in 1964.
In 1964, Mr. White joined Crucible Steel Company of America as a Metallurgical Engineer. His assignments included research and development, quality assurance and project engineering. In 1967, Mr. White joined the Curtiss-Wright Corporation as a Senior Metallurgical Engineer in the Engineering Department of the Wood-Ridge Facility.
In 1970, he was promoted to Manager of Weld Engineering in the Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Facility. Mr. White was subsequently promoted to the following management positions: Manager of Production Control, Manager of Operations and Plant Manager (Chief Operating Officer).
In 1980, Mr. White was appointed as Director of Overhaul of the Curtiss-Wright Wood-Ridge Overhaul Facility. In 1983, Mr. White was appointed Vice President and General Manager of Curtiss Wright/Marquette, Inc. In 1987, he was appointed President of GEC-Marconi Aerospace Inc. In 1994, Mr. White was appointed President of Breeze-Eastern, a Division of TransTechnology Corporation and in 1998 he was appointed President of the Corporation’s Aerospace Products Group. TransTechnology changed its name to Breeze-Eastern Corporation in 2006.
Mr. Harlan earned his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from MIT and his MBA from Stanford. He served for eight years as an Aviation Maintenance Officer in the US Navy; his aerospace experience also includes over 13 years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co. and as a staff and line manager and new business leader in AlliedSignal's Aerospace Sector and avionics business. ■
