Ms. Geissl, vice-chair of the German Practice Group, is a litigator focused on product liability claims against automotive manufacturers and consumer products. Ms. Geissl is particularly adept at multi-state and international trial strategy and discovery, and has handled cases in state and federal courts throughout the U.S. Her expertise also extends to counseling on product safety, preventative product liability and risk management and advising international clients who do business in the U.S.
A German native who is also fluent in English and French, Ms. Geissl is an accomplished author and presenter. She is an active member of the International Bar Association, the German American Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Geissl earned her J.D. from Ludwig-Maximillians University, Munich, Germany in 1998. She is admitted to practice law in Germany and the U.S.
Mr. Yank is focused on public sector labor law, representing peace officers, firefighters and other public employees in litigation, grievance and disciplinary proceedings, labor arbitrations, and unfair labor practice disputes before the California Public Employment Relations Board. In addition, he has experience before the National Labor Relations Board, California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and U.S. Department of Labor.
Mr. Yank also handles wage and hour class action cases on behalf of aggrieved public sector unions and employees. Since 2001, Yank has volunteered at the Legal Aid Society - Employment Law Center of San Francisco, and he currently serves as a supervising attorney at the Workers' Rights Clinic. Mr. Yank earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California Hastings College of Law, 2001, where he was Order of the Coif and a member of the Thurston Society.
Working from Carroll Burdick's Sacramento office, Mr. Jasmine also focuses on labor and employment litigation, representing public employees and employee associations on a wide range of issues, such as internal investigations, disciplinary and termination proceedings, grievances, arbitrations, civil litigation, collective bargaining, and in actions before the State Personnel Board and the California Public Employment Relations Board. ■
