Chattanooga, Tenn., USA - September 11, 2012, Chattanooga, Tenn., USA - CBL & Associates Properties, a real estate investment trust, announced that Farzana Mitchell has succeeded John N. Foy as chief financial officer.

Ms. Mitchell joined CBL in September 2000 as Senior Vice President – Finance and was promoted to Executive Vice President – Finance in January 2010. Prior to joining the Company, she spent 18 years at Equitable Real Estate and its predecessor in various senior financial positions.
From 1976 to 1982, Ms. Mitchell held the position of Assistant Treasurer of IRT Properties Company, a former REIT. She serves on the Board of Commissioners and Finance Committee of the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority. She is a certified public accountant, licensed in the state of Georgia.
The company also announced that Mr. Foy will remain in the near term as executive vice chairman and that Katie Reinsmidt has been promoted to the new position of Senior Vice President – Investor Relations and Corporate Investments.
Mr. Foy has served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Company since February 1999, as a Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Company since the completion of its initial public offering in November 1993 and as Secretary of the Company since January 2010. Until February 1999, he served as Executive Vice President - Finance. Mr. Foy is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
Prior to the Company’s formation, Mr. Foy served in similar executive capacities with CBL’s Predecessor. He has been involved in the shopping center industry since 1968 when he joined the Lebovitz family's shopping center development business. In 1970, he became affiliated with the shopping center division of Arlen, and, in 1978, joined Charles B. Lebovitz as an Associate in establishing CBL’s Predecessor.
Mr. Foy is a former member of the Board of Governors of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), has served as Chairman of the Board of First Fidelity Savings Bank in Crossville, Tennessee, and currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the College of Business at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Mr. Foy obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree in 1967 from the University of Tennessee College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Austin Peay State University. ■
