Schiphol, the Netherlands - November 23, 2015, Schiphol, the Netherlands - Cnova N.V., a global ecommerce company, announced the designation of Peter Paul Estermann as replacement non-executive director and chairman of the board.

Besides his position at the Company, Mr. Estermann has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Via Varejo since October 2015, and has been vice president of strategic development and infrastructure of GPA since 2014.
Previously, Mr. Estermann held the following executive positions: vice-president and chief operating officer of TENCO Shopping Centers from 2013 to 2014; executive officer of global operations of Magnesita Refractarios S.A. from 2012 to 2013; chief executive officer at LWB Refractories - Germany, subsidiary of Magnesita Refractarios S.A. for operations in Europe, from 2008 to 2011; and executive director of operations at Medial Saúde from 2006 to 2007.
Mr. Estermann was executive director of organizational development and president for the North and Northeast regions of Telemar Norte Leste S.A. from 2001 to 2005; executive director of operations and vice-president at Satipel Minas Industrial Ltda. from 1999 to 2001; and chairman of the board of directors and general director of Tecflor Ind. S.A. from 1997 to 1998.
Mr. Estermann was general director of the forestry division of Aracruz Celulose SA from 1996 to 1997; chief operating officer of the Petropar Group from 2006 to 2007; chief operating officer of Destilaria Brasilândia S.A. from 1987 to 1988; and general manager of Agropecuária Mogno S.A. from 1981 to 1986.
Mr. Estermann also served as a member of the board of directors of Tecflor Industrial S.A. from 1997 to 1998, Planalto Transportes Ltda. from 2007 to 2008 and Odontosystem Ltda. in 2008; as chairman of the board of directors of Sinterco S.A. from 2008 to 2013; and as member and chairman of the board of directors of Reframec Services S.A. in 2013.
Mr. Estermann holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - Lavras and a graduate degree from Harvard Business School.
Didier Leveque has been appointed Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Leveque has served as one of Cnova directors since October 31, 2014. He currently serves as Corporate Secretary of Euris S.A.S. (since 2008), the ultimate parent company of Casino Group, and also serves as Chairman of the board of directors and CEO of Finatis S.A. (since 2010 and 2008, respectively), a parent company of both Casino Group and Rallye.
Mr. Leveque is also the Chairman and CEO of Carpinienne de Participations S.A., Euris North America Corporation, Euristates Inc., Euris Real Estate Corporation and Parande Brooklyn Corp., and the Chairman of Par-Bel 2 S.A.S. and Matignon Diderot S.A.S.
Mr. Leveque is a director of Euris (UK) Limited, Fonciere Euris S.A., Casino and Rallye, and the co-Legal Manager of Silberhorn S.a r.l. He is a graduate of Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC).
The company said that LÃbano Miranda Barroso resigned from the Board.
Mr. Barroso has served as one of Cnova directors since October 31, 2014. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Via Varejo since April 2014 and a member of the Board of Directors of Via Varejo since February 2014, and also served as the Vice-President of Strategic Development of GPA.
Previously, Mr. Barroso held several executive-level positions, including Chief Executive Officer of TAM Airlines during the structuring of the LAN-TAM joint venture, creating LATAM Airlines Group.
Mr. Barroso also served as the Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer at Companhia de Concessoes Rodoviárias (CCR), and Finance Coordinator at Andrade Gutierrez Concessoes. ■
