Charlotte, N.C., USA - September 18, 2010, Charlotte, N.C., USA - Crosland, a property developer, announced that Stephen H. Mauldin has been named president and CEO, Paul Leonard chairman, and Adam Ford chief financial officer.

Mr. Mauldin served as chief financial officer of he company in 2009-2010. From 2006-2009, Mr. Mauldin was President of Crosland's Mixed- and Multi-Use Development division where he led development activities primarily in complex urban locations.
Prior to joining Crosland, Mr. Mauldin was a partner at Crutchfield Capital, a private equity investment firm where he spent eight years leading the investment in, and active management of, small- to mid-sized operating companies.
In this role, Mr. Mauldin served as CEO of two portfolio companies, Insight Imaging and Aviation Mobility. Prior to Crutchfield Capital, he held a variety of operating and leadership positions in the capital markets, corporate, and multifamily areas of Security Capital Group.
Mr. Mauldin began his career as a commercial real estate lending officer in Tampa, Florida, most recently as a Vice President of a Wells Fargo / Wachovia Bank predecessor.
Mr. Mauldin earned his M.M. degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate and Accounting & Information Systems, from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University; and B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting Minor, from the The University of Tampa.
Mr. Leonard is the former Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Habitat for Humanity International where he provided day-to-day direction and management of the global Christian nonprofit homebuilder.
Mr. Leonard held a variety of executive positions with the John Crosland Company from 1974 to 1987, including serving as president. He joined Centex Real Estate Corporation in 1987, when Crosland sold its home building company to Centex. He retired as executive vice president of Centex in 1995.
Mr. Leonard holds a bachelor's degree from Davidson College, a B.D. degree from the University of Chicago, and an M.B.A. from Emory University.
Mr. Ford is focused on capital market transactions to sell selected Crosland assets on an opportunistic basis, raise capital for new ventures and recapitalize existing ventures.
Mr. Ford also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Crosland's Southeastern Investment Fund and directs Crosland’s efforts in acquiring and enhancing the value of land investments as part of the Southeastern Investment Fund.
Mr. Ford began his tenure at Crosland as the Vice President of Operations in the Residential Division. He also was responsible for the division's existing project financing, fee managed portfolio, and acquisition/disposition strategy and execution.
Prior to joining Crosland, Mr. Ford worked with management consulting firm Bain & Company in Atlanta, where he provided strategic counsel to clients in a variety of industries. He also worked for six years as an executive in customer business development for Procter & Gamble. ■
