Mr. Cooperman has been a strategic advisor to Discovia since 2011. He is currently Of Counsel with the Bingham McCutchen law firm, focusing on corporate and transactional matters, corporate governance, board of directors’ issues, consultation on the role of the general counsel and management of a global corporate law department.
Previously, Mr. Cooperman served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Apple Inc. from 2007 - November 14, 2013, San Francisco, Ca., USA – Discovia, a provider of services for corporations and law firms, announced that Dan Cooperman has joined its board of directors.

Mr. Cooperman has been a strategic advisor to Discovia since 2011. He is currently Of Counsel with the Bingham McCutchen law firm, focusing on corporate and transactional matters, corporate governance, board of directors’ issues, consultation on the role of the general counsel and management of a global corporate law department.
Previously, Mr. Cooperman served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Apple Inc. from 2007-2009 and senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Oracle Corporation from 1997-2007.
Formerly chair of the Business & Transactions Group and managing partner of McCutchen Doyle Brown & Enersen’s (now Bingham McCutchen) Silicon Valley office, Mr. Cooperman is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the Best Lawyers publication and a strategic advisor to Institutional Venture Partners. He is a Fellow at Stanford’s Rock Center for Corporate Governance and a lecturer in law at Stanford Law School.
