Deutsche Bank announces key appointments in global transaction banking

Frankfurt am Main, Germany - July 10, 2012, Frankfurt am Main, Germany - Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division announced several key appointments in its trust & securities services and cash management for financial institutions (TSS/CMFI) business.

Gary Vaughan will assume the new role of TSS/CMFI Region Head for the Americas. In addition to the regional role, Mr. Vaughan will continue as Co-Head of Americas Corporate Trust for the Trust and Agency Services business.

Mrugank Paranjape will assume the new role of TSS/CMFI Region Head in Asia.

In addition to the regional role, Mr. Paranjape will continue as Direct Securities Services Head of Asia Pacific. Mr. Paranjape is a veteran banker with more than 20 years capital markets experience, including nine years in securities services. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he had held senior management roles in international organisations including Prudential ICICI Asset Management India and Citibank.

Mr. Paranjape served as Managing Director, Head DCS, South & South East Asia at Deutsche Bank; Vice President Operations at ICICI Prudential AMC Ltd; Chief Information Officer at Reliance Logistics; Director & CEO 5 Paisa.com at India Infoline Ltd. He was also Assistant Vice President at Deutsche Bank; Head of Operations at Indosuez W I Carr; Head of Operations at ING Barings; Head of Operations at IIT Investrust Manager at Citibank and Sytems & Sales Trainee at IDM Limited.

Mr. Paranjape earned his degree from Indian Institute of Management and Ahmedabad Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Jose Sicilia will assume the new role of TSS/CMFI Region Head in Western Europe. In addition to the regional role, Mr. Sicilia will continue as Head of EMEA Corporate Trust for the Trust and Agency Services business.

Sriram Iyer will assume the new role of TSS/CMFI Region Head in CEEMEA. In addition to the regional role, Head of Transaction Banking – Middle East North Africa, Mr. Iyer will continue as GTB Head for MENA.

Mike Hughes has been appointed to the newly created role of Global Head of Funds Services, which combines TSS/CMFI’s Alternative Funds Services and Domestic Funds Services businesses to increase its focus on the non-bank financial institution segment. He will continue as GTB country head for the UK, Channel Islands and Ireland.

Edwin Reyes will be responsible for the newly combined Depositary Receipts and Transferable Custody Receipts offering, which provides a wider range of depositary receipt services from a single source in order to address the complex needs of clients. Mr. Reyes maintains his role as Global Head of Depositary Receipts.

Daire McCormack, current Director, Global Transaction Banking at Deutsche Bank, has been appointed to the newly created role of Global Head of Escrow Solutions. Mr. McCormack is past Director, Transaction Banking at ABN AMRO, Business Development Manager at Barclays Stockbrokers and Strategy Consultant at McKinsey & Company.
