DTZ: Christopher Wilton vice chairman for Middle East

London, United Kingdom - DTZ, a commercial property firm, announced that Christopher Wilton has been named firm's vice chairman for Middle East.

Following a degree in Middle Eastern Studies, Mr. Wilton joined Esso Petroleum and worked for two years as an oil terminal supervisor.

Then he joined the British Diplomatic Service and has spent the majority of his career in the Middle East.

Mr. Wilton tok unpaid leave from the FCO from 1999 to 2001 to take up the position of Managing Director for the Middle East with BAE Systems.

Mr. Wilton has held a number of high-profile roles in the Middle East including ambassador to Kuwait, British Consul General in Dubai and commercial counsellor at the British Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
