New York, USA - May 23, 2014, New York, USA - Intercontinental Exchange Group (ICE) announced that Duncan Niederauer, CEO of NYSE Group and co-president of ICE, has accelerated his planned departure.

Mr. Niederauer will continue as President of ICE through August 2014. He served as CEO of NYSE Euronext from 2007 through late 2013, when the acquisition by ICE was completed. Prior to ICE, he was the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of NYSE Euronext. Prior to that, he was President and co-Chief Operating Officer of NYSE Euronext with responsibility for U.S. cash equities.
Before joining NYSE Euronext in April 2007, Mr. Niederauer was Managing Director and co-Head of the Equities Division Execution Services franchise at Goldman, Sachs & Co. His career at Goldman Sachs spanned 22 years.
Mr. Niederauer has served on the board of Archipelago Holdings, LLC and Colgate University, and now serves on the board of Operation Hope, The American Ireland Fund and the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.
Mr. Niederauer's current affiliations include G100, Chief Executive 50, British-American Business Council International Advisory Committee, Partnership for New York City, Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, Shanghai International Financial Advisory Committee, Museum of American Finance, Pace University President’s Council and Fundacao Dom Cabral in Brazil.
The company also announced that Thomas W. Farley, the COO of the NYSE and former ICE Futures U.S. President, succeed Niederauer as President of NYSE Group.
Mr. Farley is President of the NYSE Group which includes the New York Stock Exchange and a diverse range of equity and equity options exchanges, all wholly owned subsidiaries of IntercontinentalExchange. He joined the NYSE in November of 2013 when ICE acquired NYSE Euronext. He served as the Chief Operating Officer before becoming President in May of 2014.
Prior to that, Mr. Farley served as SVP of Financial Markets at ICE where he oversaw the development of several businesses and initiatives across ICE’s markets. He joined ICE in 2007 where he served as the President and COO of ICE Futures U.S., formerly the New York Board of Trade.
Previous to joining ICE, Mr. Farley was President of SunGard Kiodex, a risk management technology provider to the derivatives markets. Before becoming President of SunGard Kiodex, he served as the business unit's Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. He has also held various positions in investment banking at Montgomery Securities and in private equity at Gryphon Investors. ■
