Geomagic adds Tom Kurke as chief operating officer

Research Triangle Park, N.C., USA - October 6, 2009, Research Triangle Park, N.C., USA - Geomagic, a provider of 3D software, announced that it has appointed Tom Kurke as chief operating officer.



Mr. Kurke joins Geomagic with more than 20 years' experience in the design and engineering software market, including sales, marketing, product management, corporate and business development, engineering and law. Prior to joining Geomagic, he was vice president of subscriptions at Bentley Systems Inc., a leading provider of infrastructure solutions that enable engineers, architects, governments and utilities to design, build and operate more efficiently.

During his tenure at Bentley, Mr. Kurke headed many domestic and international business development initiatives, was part of the senior management team that grew Bentley's annual revenues to more than $500 million, and was directly responsible for the global software subscriptions business, which represented nearly 70 percent of the company's annual revenues.
