GeoPark Holdings appoints Pedro Aylwin Chiorrini as director

London, United Kingdom - July 31, 2013, London, United Kingdom - GeoPark Holdings, an oil and gas explorer, announce the appointment of Pedro Aylwin Chiorrini as a new member of the board of directors.

Mr. Aylwin has been GeoPark's Director of Governance and Legal since April 2011 and from 2003 to 2006, He worked for the Company as an advisor on governance and legal matters. He has extensive experience in the natural resources sector.

Mr. Aylwin has been a partner at the law firm of Aylwin Abogados in Santiago, Chile, where he has represented mining, chemical and oil and gas companies in numerous transactions.

From 2006 to 2011, Mr. Aylwin served as Lead Manager and General Counsel at BHP Billiton, Base Metals, where he was in charge of legal and corporate governance matters on BHP Billiton's projects, operations and natural resource assets in South America, North America, Asia, Africa and Australia. Mr. Aylwin is also a board member of Egeda Espana.
