Scottsdale, Az., USA - August 21, 2014, Scottsdale, Az., USA - Healthcare Trust of America, Inc., a real estate investment trust, announced that Kellie S. Pruitt, chief financial officer, secretary and treasurer of HTA has notified the company of her intentions to retire.

Ms. Pruitt has served as HTA's Chief Financial Officer since May 2010, as Treasurer since April 2009, and as Secretary since July 2009. She also served as Chief Accounting Officer from January 2009 until May 2010, as Assistant Secretary from March 2009 to July 2009, and as Controller for a portion of January 2009. From September 2007 to December 2008, she served as the Vice President, Financial Reporting and Compliance, for Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
Prior to joining Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in 2007, Ms. Pruitt served as a senior manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP, from 1995 to 2007, serving both public and privately held companies primarily concentrated in the real estate and consumer business industries.
Ms. Pruitt received a B.A. degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a member of the AICPA. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Arizona and Texas.
Ms. Pruitt will remain with the Company through September 30, 2014 and, thereafter, will serve in an advisory capacity until December 31, 2014 to ensure a smooth transition.
Effective September 1, 2014, HTA has appointed Robert A. Milligan as Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer.
Mr. Milligan currently serves as the Company’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Finance and Capital Markets and has been with the Company since 2012. Prior to HTA, Mr. Milligan served in various corporate finance and capital markets roles with Bank of America Merrill Lynch and General Electric. He holds a BS degree in Finance and Economics from Arizona State University and a MBA degree from the University of Chicago.
HTA also announced the promotions of Bridget Legge to Chief Accounting Officer and Kristina Abril to Corporate Controller. ■
