Huntingdon, United Kingdom - Hilton Food Group announced that Theo Bergman has stepped down from the board but will continue to work for Hilton on a number of projects.

Mr. Bergman joined Hilton in 2000 as the Managing Director of the Group’s Dutch facility, Hilton Meats Zaandam.
In 2003, he was appointed to the Group’s executive board as European operations director responsible for the start up of operations in Europe and the relationship with Ahold.
His current role is Chief Operating Officer, Continental Europe.
Prior to joining Hilton, Mr. Bergman worked for Ahold from 1987.
Having joined as a logistics manager for Ahold, he was later appointed as a general manager, responsible for the successful restructuring of subsidiary businesses in the fresh and processed meat industry (Nistria and Eindhoven), prior to being appointed a divisional operations manager where he was involved in the restructuring and third party sale of Ahold’s processed meat division in 1999.
Mr. Bergman holds a BSc in Engineering from the National Transportation Institute in the Netherlands and also received the CPIM certification from APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society).
Mr. Bergman's operational responsibilities will be assumed by Philip Heffer who has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for all Hilton's businesses.
Mr. Heffer joined Hilton at its inception in 1994, as Managing Director.
His current role is Chief Operating Office, responsible for all Hilton’s businesses with its major customer.
From 1986 to 1990, Mr. Heffer was Sales Director, and earlier production manager, for Romford Wholesale Meats Limited, supplying a number of different retailers with meat products. ■
A joint venture comprised of DeRoyal Industries, Premier and 34 Premier member health systems will establish a healthcare products manufacturing facility in Powell, Tennessee.
