London, United Kingdom - October 5, 2010, London, United Kingdom - Bank of America Merrill Lynch has announced a series of hires to its global corporate banking business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Richard King has joined as managing director and head of UK/Ireland Global Corporate Banking. Previously, he spent 11 years at ABN AMRO/Royal Bank of Scotland, most recently as managing director and head of the Global Industrials Group, covering the UK, Germany and Southern Europe.
Rufus Beldam has joined as managing director and head of EMEA Energy and Power for Global Corporate Banking. Previously, he spent 26 years at Citigroup. His final year with the company was on a secondment as part of the leadership of the advisory team to HMT for the government’s Asset Protection Scheme.
Hurbinder Mudan has joined to head a new team covering Energy and Metals Finance for Global Corporate Banking. With 20 years’ experience in the banking industry, primarily in energy finance, Mudan spent the last eight years at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), most recently as head of Oil and Gas Structured Finance.
This new team brings a wealth of experience to supplement the existing strong commodities and corporate finance business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. It will initially comprise the following individuals:
- Richard Digby will join in October as a director. He was previously at RBS for nine years, most recently as senior director and head of modelling and analysis.
- Andrew Duncan will join in October as a director. He was previously at RBS for two years, most recently as a director of Oil and Gas in the company’s Structured Finance Oil and Gas team.
- Deepak Rastogi has joined as a director. He was previously at RBS for 11 years, most recently as a director in the company’s Structured Finance Oil and Gas team.
- Krista Titmanis will join in October as a vice president. She was previously at RBS for four years as associate director in the company’s Structured Finance Oil and Gas team.
Darren Rickards, managing director and head of Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) for Global Corporate Banking, who has been with Bank of America Merrill Lynch for 10 years, has announced the following senior appointments:
- Roman Zilber has joined the Moscow-based team as managing director and head of Global Corporate Banking for Russia. He was previously at Calyon – Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Moscow, for three years as head of Corporate Coverage and Structured Finance.
- Hakim Karoui has joined the Dubai-based team as director and head of Global Corporate Banking for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He was previously at Citigroup for 12 years, most recently as director and head of Financial Institutions for Citigroup Global Markets Ltd, Dubai, UAE. ■
