New York, USA - November 24, 2010, New York, USA - The Howard Hughes Corporation, a real estate company, announced that it has named David R. Weinreb to serve as chief executive officer.

Mr. Weinreb is the Owner, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of TPMC Realty Corporation, a multi-faceted investment firm. He is the managing general partner and limited partner in numerous single-asset entities.
Mr. Weinreb is a licensed broker, proficient in all types of real estate transactions. He began his real estate career in the late 1970’s in New York City. In 1984, he moved to Texas and became a broker with Murray Financial, headquartered in Dallas.
In 1986, he became Project Manager for the MacDonald & Masi Company. He was then recruited by Thornton Partners Management Company (TPMC) in 1987, working for Jerry Reinsdorf and many of the original Balcor investors.
Mr. Weinreb was appointed Director of Operations, he served in this position from 1987-1990. He then became the Company’s principal broker and was simultaneously promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, titles he held until 1991, when he purchased TPMC from Reinsdorf and became its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
The company also announced that Grant Herlitz was named President of the company.
Mr. Herlitz is the Chief Financial Officer of TPMC Realty Corporation. He joined TPMC in October, 2000 as Vice President of Investments and has used his varied financial and management experience to position himself for multiple roles within the company.
Mr. Herlitz started his career in finance working for the European Community Observer Mission to South Africa, an organization set up in conjunction with the United Nations to observe political change in South Africa.
After moving to the United States in 1994, Mr. Herlitz worked as a tax accountant in both public and corporate accounting. In 1997, he went to work with Dallas-based FirstPlus Financial Group.
Mr. Herlitz earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (US Equivalent of Bachelor of Business Administration) from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. ■
