Saint Paul, Minn., USA - August 14, 2012, Saint Paul, Minn., USA - Image Sensing Systems, Inc., a technology company, announced that Kenneth R. Aubrey’s employment as president and chief executive officer of Image Sensing Systems, Inc. has been terminated, effective immediately.

Mr. Aubrey was appointed President in January 2007 and as Chief Executive Officer in May 2007.
He was elected to the board of directors at our annual meeting of shareholders held in May 2007.
From 1995 to 2006, Mr. Aubrey held various positions with Siemens AG, most recently as a business unit president of Siemens' ITS Division, Industrial Solutions & Services Group.
He concurrently managed Strategic Projects for the ITS Division.
Prior to this, Mr. Aubrey served as a vice president of Strategic Projects for Siemens' Information and Communication Networks Group.
The board has named Kris B. Tufto, a member of Image Sensing Systems’ board, as interim president and CEO.
Mr. Tufto brings significant leadership experience in software, technology and product marketing to his new role as interim CEO.
He has served on the board of Sajan, Inc., a publicly-held company, since February 2010. From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Tufto was chief revenue officer at Code42, a software solutions and data protection company.
Previously, he was chief executive officer at MarketingBridge, a global channel marketing company, and a consultant at W3i, a provider of application and mobile marketing solutions.
Mr. Tufto has also served in leadership positions for various technology companies.
He has a Bachelor’s of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University.
Mr. Tufto will continue to serve on the board, but will step down from the three board committees because his role as interim president and CEO positions him as a non-independent board member.
The Board expects to initiate a search for a new president and CEO in the near-term.
The company also announced that it continues to augment its leadership team with the addition of Dale Parker as a board director, replacing Mr. Tufto on the three board committees.
Mr. Parker has a deep leadership background, and currently serves as board chairman of HickoryTech Corporation, a communications solutions provider.
He retired earlier this year after serving as interim chief financial officer of Ener1, Inc., an energy storage technology company, since 2011.
Previously he served in numerous chief financial officer and vice president roles for manufacturing companies including as CFO of Neenah Industries, PaperWorks Industries, Forest Resources and Appleton Papers.
From 1975 to 2000, he held financial positions of increasing responsibility at Black Clawson Companies, a manufacturer of capital equipment for the paper and plastics industries.
Mr. Parker received his MBA from Xavier University and his bachelor's degree from Miami University in Ohio. Mr. Parker is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Image Sensing Systems has also announced that Michael C. Doyle has stepped down as a board director.
Mr. Doyle was named a director in April 2011. Mr. Doyle has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Econolite Group, Inc., a traffic control equipment manufacturer and distributor and parent company to Econolite Control Products, Inc., since 1978.
Prior to this, he was a partner in the public accounting firm Alexander Grant & Company (a predecessor to Grant Thornton LLP).
He has also been a partner in the law firm of Stone & Doyle since 1978.
Mr. Doyle is also the Chairman of the Board for Huntington Medical Research Institute. ■
