Imagination Technologies CEO Sir Hossein Yassaie steps down

Kings Langley, United Kingdom - February 9, 2016, Kings Langley, United Kingdom - Chip designer Imagination Technologies chief executive officer Sir Hossein Yassaie, has stepped down.

Sir Hossein worked at STMicroelectronics/Inmos, where he spent eight years, ultimately becoming responsible for the system divisions, including research and development, manufacturing and marketing. Joining Imagination Technologies in 1992, he became its CEO in June 1998.

Sir Hossein also created digital radio brand, Pure. In 2013 he was awarded a knighthood by the Queen in Her Majesty’s New Year Honours 2013. The award was given in recognition of his services to technology and innovation. He is a Non-Executive of Toumaz Holdings Limited.

After attaining his PhD, Sir Hossein was a research fellow at the University of Birmingham.

Andrew Heath has been named Interim Chef Executive Officer.
