Nashville, Tenn., USA - November 11, 2010, Nashville, Tenn., USA - Informatics Corporation of America (ICA) announced that John Tempesco is the new chief marketing officer, Brian Higdon vice president of client services, and Sandra H. Lillie vice president of sales and business development.

As Vice President, Client Services and Marketing, Mr. Tempesco was responsible for the implementation and support of the ICA solution across the country as well as the organizations marketing efforts.
Mr. Tempesco joined ICA in February of 2008 from HealthPort (formerly Companion Technologies) and has 34 years of healthcare experience including 18 years of experience in HIT in both the civilian and government sectors.
Before joining ICA, Mr. Tempesco served as the Vice President of Operations for the Practice Management, Electronic Medical Records and Revenue Cycle Management product lines of HealthPort. Prior to assuming this position within HealthPort, he was the General Manager for East Coast Operations and then National Director of Support Services for Companion Technologies.
Mr. Tempesco also served as Director of Operations and then Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Companion Information Management Resources, a company specializing in the out-sourcing of health and dental insurance claims processing and Internet customer service products.
Prior to these civilian endeavors, Mr. Tempesco completed a career in the United States Navy as a healthcare administrator. He was instrumental in the development and implementation of the Department of Defense’s Tricare program.
Mr. Tempesco holds a BS in Business at Lock Haven University and a MHA from Baylor University. He is a Fellow in the Life Management Institute, a Certified Managed Care Executive, and a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives.
Before joining ICA, Mr. Higdon ran Client and Member Services for Affinion Group, a $1.5B international marketing company where his teams developed and delivered client solutions for 4,500 institutions and more than 30 million customers.
Prior to this position, Mr. Higdon served as a Manager for Arthur Andersen in the Business Process Consulting Group, where he worked with national clients providing solutions and driving consistent execution across a variety of industries.
Mr. Higdon began his professional career in the U.S. Army where he was a Ranger and combat veteran. He is a C.P.A. with degrees in Business Management and Accounting from Tennessee Technological University.
Ms. Lillie has a proven track record of growing profitable business, securing new engagements, cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining loyal customer relationships. Prior to joining ICA she was vice president, Strategic Accounts, at TeraMedica Healthcare Technology where she increased sales velocity from a direct-sale-only strategy to one that includes formal business partners.
Prior to this position, Ms. Lillie served as director and area vice president, Healthcare & Life Sciences-East, for Dell, Inc. where she led a $470M business comprised of three regions selling to the health care provider markets, and expanded the sales team to support new market focus in the health care payer space. ■
