London, United Kingdom - April 28, 2014, London, United Kingdom - Iofina, a specialist in chemical iodine derivatives, announced that it has accepted the resignations of CEO and president George Lantz and finance director Gary Gatchell.

Both Mr. Lantz and Mr. Gatchell offered to be consultants to the company, if needed.
Mr. Lantz has an established track record with large, medium and small companies spanning more than 30 years. Prior to his appointment at Iofina, he was Founder and Vice President of Voyant Technologies, Inc. Prior to Voyant, he held positions of Vice President of Frontier ConferTech, Corporate New Business Manager ROLM (a Siemens Company), Sales Engineer at IBM Corporation, and Design Engineer with Texaco, Inc.
Mr. Lantz has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Industrial Management from the University of Wyoming, USA.
Most recently Mr. Gatchell was Chief Finance Officer of Solar Technologies, Inc. From 2005 to 2008, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Carrier Access Corporation, and he was part of the original founding management team of Voyant Technologies, Inc. A previous audit manager at KPMG, he is a registered Certified Public Accountant and has a Master's degree in Accountancy from the University of Denver.
The company also announced that Jeffrey Ploen, co-founder and current non-executive director, has been appointed interim chief executive officer and president, while Mike Coddington, currently CFO and the former Finance Director of the Company, has been appointed as Finance Director.
Mr. Ploen is currently a professional private investor. He served as director of Momentum Biofuels Inc., a biodiesel producer in Houston Texas. He is also a former director of Petro Uno, a Columbian oil and gas exploration company.
Mr. Ploen was the director of finance at Navidec, Inc. He is the former CEO of Tamaron Corp., Paradigm Holdings, Inc., and Tonga Capital Corp..
Mr. Coddington has 30 years of Accounting and Finance experience in various manufacturing industries. He served as the Group's Finance Director from 2010 until 2013. He was reappointed as Finance Director in 2014. He began his career in 1980 with Cincinnati Milacron, a world leader in manufacturing of machine tools, and advanced to Accounting Manager of the Electronic Systems Division. In 1990 he joined Printpack Inc., a manufacturer of printed flexible packaging, as a Plant Finance Controller.
In 1995, Printpack created a joint venture company called Orflex Ltd., and Mr. Coddington served as Finance Controller for six years. Orflex Ltd was acquired by Diversapack LLC in 2001, and he served as Corporate Finance Controller until 2010. ■
