John Lewis Of Hungerford appoints Kiran Noonan as acting chair

London, United Kingdom - John Lewis Of Hungerford, a manufacturer of kitchens, furniture and wall panelling, said non-executive chair Gary O'Brien has resigned for personal reasons.

Gary O'Brien worked with companies such as Allied Lyons, Granada Group and Black and Decker and has over 15 years public company experience.

Mr. O’Brien joined Max Factor in 1982 as Deputy Managing Director and Finance Director.

Already experienced in business transformation, he built Max Factor into one of the most profitable divisions in the worldwide operation at the time.

Mr. O’Brien moved on to join the Board of the Burton Group in 1986 before joining the Signet Group as Group Finance Director in 1990.

More recently he has focussed on working with smaller businesses and has been involved in a management and advisory capacity.

Mr. O’Brien is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Institute of Directors.

He was appointed to the Board in 2016.

Managing Director Kiran Noonan has been appointed as acting chair.

Ms. Noonan has spent four years establishing a dedicated, competent and disciplined sales team in her previous role as Sales and Marketing Director.

Ms. Noonan has been working within Sales and Operational Management for over 20 years including the retail sector and management consultancy.

Ms. Noonan's recent roles have been at Board level and she has provided a sounding board for many CEOs and MDs.

She is an Associate CIPD and brings a wealth of experience in good people management and business development.
