Johnson Controls establishes leadership for Asia Pacific
Beda Bolzenius, vice president and president Automotive Experience, will continue in his current role and take on the additional responsibility for leading Johnson Controls' enterprise activities for Asia Pacific. As vice chairman, Johnson Controls Asia Pacific, he will relocate to Shanghai and will lead the region for the company. He will also be the Johnson Controls executive sponsor for the recently announced automotive interiors joint venture with Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems Co.
Dr. Bolzenius joined Johnson Controls in 2004 as executive vice president and general manager of Europe, Africa and South America for Automotive Experience. In 2005, he was appointed vice president and president, Automotive Experience.
Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Dr. Bolzenius was employed, since 1986, by Robert Bosch GmbH, an automotive, appliance and machinery manufacturer. He held positions of increasing responsibility, becoming president of Bosch’s Body Electronics division in 2002, where he served for two years.
Dr. Bolzenius holds a Doctorate of Physics and a Master of Science in physics from Bonn University. He is a member of the International Federation of Automotive Engineering Society (FISITA) Honorary Committee.
Susan Davis will assume the expanded role of executive vice president and chief human resources officer (CHRO) and take an Asian Pacific assignment in Shanghai. With these additional duties, she will lead the creation of the company's future functional organization for the Shanghai headquarters and establish unifying human resource organization, practices and processes for the region. ■
