Jumeirah Golf Estates appoints managing director, club operations

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - August 13, 2015, Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Jumeirah Golf Estates announces the appointment of Julian Small as managing director, club operations, commencing September 27, 2015.




Bringing a wealth of industry experience spanning over 30 years, Mr. Small takes the helm of Jumeirah Golf Estates’ hospitality and leisure offering, focusing on the community’s continued development as a truly world-class residential golf destination.

During Mr. Small’s early career, he was Banqueting Manager at the iconic London hotel, The Savoy, before he joined Stanhope Properties, a London-based property company, where he led the hospitality, leisure and estate management elements in the significant regeneration projects at Broadgate in the City of London and Stockley Park, Heathrow.

In 1996, he was appointed to the position of Chief Executive of Wentworth Club. During his tenure, Wentworth hosted over 40 professional golf tournaments on the European Tour - an accolade that positions Mr. Smal well to support Jumeirah Golf Estates’ role as the host venue of the DP World Tour Championship, The Season Finale of the European Tour’s Race to Dubai.
