Leadership transition at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America

Goodwood, United Kingdom - September 28, 2015, Goodwood, United Kingdom - Rolls-Royce Motor Cars' president (North America), Eric Shepherd, has decided to move to a new entrepreneurial role in the super-luxury automotive retail sector within Rolls-Royce.




Mr. Shepherd will continue in office as President of Rolls-Royce NA until 31 December 2015.

He will be succeeded by Pedro Mota who will join Rolls-Royce NA from Porsche Cars NA where he served as Vice President, Area West.

Following studies in Electrical Engineering and Robotics at the Lisbon Technical University and further studies in Business Administration at INSEAD, Mr. Mota joined General Motors in 1994 as Manager of Powertrain Planning. After that he spent 3 years in Business Development in Zurich. In 2000, he joined Lehman Brothers in London, working in Mergers & Acquisitions in the automotive business.

In 2002, he joined Porsche Consulting GmbH, in Germany, where he advised internal and external clients on process optimization and design, with particular focus on sales, distribution and after-sales.

In 2005 he came to join Porsche Cars North America where he held several positions. As General Manager Pre-Owned Operations, he was responsible for the Remarketing of Off-Lease Vehicles and for the CPO Program for the U.S. market.

Later he became General Manager of Sales Operations where he was responsible for demand and supply management together with Porsche AG, allocation of vehicles to the dealer network, all port and transportation activities; in addition to the above mentioned pre-owned responsibilities.
