Copenhagen, Denmark - March 25, 2013, Copenhagen, Denmark - H. Lundbeck A/S, a pharmaceutical company, announced that it has appointed Hakan Björklund as chairman and Christian Dyvig as deputy chairman of the board of directors.

Mr. Björklund serves as a company's director for the last two years. He is also a member of Lundbeck’s Remuneration Committee and Scientific Committee. He is working as Healthcare Operating Executive at Avista Capital Partners. He has years of international experience from the pharmaceutical industry.
Having been in charge of the research activities of Astra AB for a number of years, Mr. Björklund was later responsible for the company's sales and marketing in the Nordic region, certain countries in Europe and South Africa. From 1999-2011 he was CEO of Nycomed GmbH. He serves on the boards of Atos Medical AB and Coloplast A/S. He holds a Ph.D degree in neuroscience.
Mr. Dyvig serves as a director for the last two years and he is also a member of Lundbeck’s Scientific Committee. He served as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, partner in Nordic Capital, and director/chairman of the board in a number of businesses in which he also has personal ownership (among them Falck A/S, Kompan A/S and FIH Erhvervsbank A/S).
He has been Managing Director at the Lundbeck Foundation. He is chairman of FIH Erhvervsbank A/S and deputy chairman of ALK A/S. He has The master of laws and MBA degrees.
The company also announced that Mats Pettersson did not stand for re-election.
Mr. Pettersson was elected to Lundbeck's Board of Directors in 2003 and elected as Chairman two years ago. He also chairs Lundbeck's Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee. He has many years' experience from international research-based pharmaceutical companies. He has held various positions in Business Development and has served as CFO, CEO and as member of various management committees.
Mr. Pettersson is board chairman of Moberg Derma AB, and board member of Ablynx NV, to-BBB Holding NV and Photocure AS. He hold B.Sc. degree in economics and business administration. ■
