Calgary, AB, Canada - November 29, 2012, Calgary, AB, Canada - Madalena Ventures, an oil and gas company, announced that Kevin Shaw has been appointed as president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Shaw will also be joining the Company's Board of Directors. He holds significant oil and gas industry experience as an Engineer, Manager and Officer, working for both large and small-cap E&P's, as well as experience in the capital markets and consulting services sides of the energy sector. Prior to joining Madalena, he most recently headed up the energy team at Casimir Capital and held the position of Managing Drector and Head of Global Energy Research.
Prior to Casimir, Mr. Shaw worked with Wellington West Capital Markets as a Senior Oil and Gas Research Analyst, and Partner, and was a key member of Wellington West's Energy business prior to Wellington's sale to National Bank of Canada. Prior to holding executive positions within the Capital Markets, he has also held oil and gas positions heading up large operational and engineering consultant teams for major E&P’s as an Alliance Manager for Colt WorleyParsons.
Mr. Shaw was also a Vice President, Operations for a public jr. E&P (Trimox Energy), and has held various technical and managerial roles with ExxonMobil (via Imperial Oil). He is a Professional Engineer and holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary and an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business.
The company also announced several other additions to the management team.
Steve Dabner has een appointed as Vice-President of Exploration. He has more than 27 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to co-founding Online Energy, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Trimox Energy and Moxie Exploration, and Vice-President, Exploration and CFO of Moxie Petroleum. He also held positions of increasing responsibility with Cimarron Petroleum and Home Oil Company.
Brent Foster was named Vice-President of Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer, with 30 years of experience in exploitation and development of oil and gas pools. Prior to being the VP, Engineering at Online Energy, he was the Vice-President of Engineering and COO, Blue Mountain Energy and Vice-President, Engineering, Hadrian Energy. He started his career with Rigel Oil and Gas and Home Oil Company. ■
