magicJack appoints EVP, marketing

West Palm Beach, Fl., USA - January 30, 2014, West Palm Beach, Fl., USA - magicJack VocalTec, Ltd, a cloud communications company, announced it has appointed Seth Cummings as executive vice president, marketing.




Mr. Cummings brings nearly 20 years of management experience in the communications industry ranging from start-ups to public companies to his role as executive vice president.

Mr. Cummings served as executive vice president at Clearwire where he developed the CLEAR brand for the first 4G service deployment in the U.S. He also developed the business model and launched a trial of the first 4G prepaid service in the U.S., which subsequently supplanted the postpaid model at Clearwire.

Prior to Clearwire, he was a co-founder of and senior vice president at Amp'd Mobile, where he developed partnerships with entertainment companies including Viacom/MTV Networks, NBC Universal, FOX, Disney/ABC, CBS, and Electronic Arts.

Mr. Cummings previously held management positions at Boost Mobile during its start-up phase and initial national launch. He also developed partnerships with Verizon Wireless and Qualcomm at an early mobile app developer before its spin off and eventual sale to Google.
