Stockholm, Sweden – The Nasdaq OMX Group, Inc. announced that Magnus Billing has been appointed president of NASDAQ OMX Stockholm and SVP Nordic Fixed Income and NASDAQ OMX Baltics/Armenia, effective July 1, 2013.[break]
Mr. Billing has been with NASDAQ OMX for the last 12 years, and since 2008 as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Counsel Europe. Mr. Billing is also responsible for providing legal counsel and market supervision for the exchange operations in Europe and for NASDAQ OMX's technology operation, including contracts and IPRs. He has been working in the exchange industry since 2001.
Prior to his current role, he was the General Counsel of OMX and led the negotiations around the consolidation of the OMX Nordic Exchanges. He is a member of the NASDAQ OMX Listing Committee, secretary in the Board of Directors of the NASDAQ OMX Nordic Foundation, and serves as an alternate director of the Swedish Corporate Governance Code Board of Directors. Mr. Billing holds a degree in law from the Stockholm University.
