Purchase, N.Y., USA - MasterCard announced the appointment of Ron Garrow as chief human resources officer and member of the company’s executive committee, effective April 1, 2013.

Mr. Garrow was previously group head, global talent acquisition, management and development.
Mr. Garrow has more than 27 years experience in Human Resources with a broad skills and knowledge of various HR disciplines, including managing multiple HR functions. Mr. Garrow has worked with HR and leadership teams in Europe, the Middle East and Asia to expand the commercial, corporate banking, wealth management businesses and sales performance in the regions.
Prior to joining MasterCard in 2010, Mr. Garrow spent six years at Bank of America as the human resources executive for the chief financial officer and then as chief learning officer. Before that, he spent 19 years at Wachovia in various positions. His last role at Wachovia was chief learning officer where he was responsible for the company’s Training, Leadership & Executive Development, Diversity and Learning Infrastructure.
Mr. Garrow is a member of the Bersin Advisory Board and serves on the Board of Directors for Pfeiffer University and Gray Stone Day School in Misenheimer, North Carolina. Mr. Garrow graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he majored in Business Administration. He earned a master’s degree in Business from Pfeiffer University and completed a Certificate in Organizational Development from UNC- Charlotte.
Stephanie Voquer, the chief human resources officer of MasterCard Worldwide, has announced her retirement, April 1, 2013, after eight years with the company.
Prior to assuming this role, Ms. Voquer was responsible for Global Strategy and Operations in Purchase and was the group head of Human Resources, MasterCard Europe, based in Waterloo, Belgium. Her professional experience spans the Human Resources disciplines, in strategic and operational roles, with a strong track record in change management.
Prior to joining MasterCard, Ms. Voquer worked in the telecom and IT sectors as director, Human Resources for Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) with Avaya Communications and the director of Human Resources Operations, Global Services, with IBM EMEA in Paris, France. Ms. Voquer began in corporate career with IBM in Europe and spent two years on assignment in the United States. ■
