Amy Ferrer in Boston focuses on corporate securities, mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions, as well as advises clients on general corporate governance matters. Ms. Ferrer earned her degrees from Fordham University School of Law, J.D., 2003; and Villanova University, B.A., summa cum laude, 1999.

Nava Hazan in New York focuses on creditors' and debtors' rights, corporate reorganizations, bankruptcy proceedings and commercial transactions. A seasoned lawyer earned degree from Columbia Law School, LL.M., 1999; University of Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne, Master's Degree, 1997; University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, Master's Degree, 1996; and University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, J.D., 1995.

Andrew T. Turney in Los Angeles focuses in the areas of corporate securities and capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions and finance, as well as assisting clients with commercial contracts and transactions. Mr. Turney regularly counsels clients on compliance and corporate governance matters. Mr. Turney is educated at the University of California-Los Angeles School of Law (J.D., 2003), and George Washington University (B.B.A., 1991).

Ira B. Mirsky in Washington, D.C. focuses on tax controversy matters related to employee compensation, fringe and welfare benefits, and deferred compensation arrangements. The education includes Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M., 2005); George Mason University School of Law (J.D., 1993); and the University of Maryland (B.S., 1990).

Sandra Urban-Crell from Düsseldorf advises German and international companies on all aspects of individual and collective labour and employment law. Her areas of specialisation include inter alia transaction related labour law issues and restructuring through until post-merger integration as well as consultancy on outsourcing activities and co-determination of employees (including negotiations with the works council). Ms. Urban-Crell is Certified employment law specialist (Fachanwältin für Arbeitsrecht), 2006; and she graduated from University of Bochum (Dr. jur., 2000); and University of Bochum.

Esther Chang in Los Angeles focuses her practice on general health regulatory and transactional representation of health care clients. Ms. Chang also has extensive experience representing clients in connection with acquisitions, mergers and general corporate matters, including drafting professional services agreements, affiliation agreements and medical directorships. Ms. Chang earned her degrees from the University of Southern California - Gould School of Law (J.D., 2002); Boston University School of Public Health (M.P.H., 1999); and Dartmouth College (B.A., 1997).

Jerry Tichner in Boston maintains a general health law practice, focusing on the representation of hospitals, health systems and other health care clients. Mr. Tichner also has significant experience advising health care providers and pharmaceutical industry clients with respect to health related matters impacted by the Internet and HIPAA. Mary B. Boyle in Silicon Valley focuses in the areas of intellectual property litigation in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. Ms. Boyle has broad experience in litigating commercial disputes and providing advice to investment banks and companies in the biopharmaceutical and high-technology segments. Ms. Boyle raduated from George Washington University Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2000); Yale University (Ph.D., Physiology, 1983); and Barnard College (A.B., magna cum laude, 1976).

M. Todd Hales in Orange County focuses on strategic intellectual property portfolio prosecution, management, and counseling. Mr. Hales's also involves conducting due diligence investigations in connection with funding, acquisition, and merger transactions, preparation of legal opinions on patent validity and infringement, and preparing portfolio and landscape evaluations and prelitigation analyses. Mr. Hales is eduated at Brigham Young University Law School (J.D., 2003); and Brigham Young University (B.S.M.E., Tau Beta Pi, 2000).

Christian L. Masch from Munich focuses his practice on IT, intellectual property, media law, telecommunication law and data protection/privacy law. Mr. Masch is an experienced trial lawyer who frequently represents clients in commercial law litigations before German courts. Mr. Masch earned his degrees from the Universities of Augsburg and Passau (Dr. jur., summa cum laude).

Matthew McCloskey in Boston focuses his practice on U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, patent portfolio management and trademark prosecution, in addition to analysis and opinion work for patent validity, infringement and patentability issues. He also supports patent infringement litigation, intellectual property licensing, and intellectual property due diligence for corporate mergers and acquisitions. Mr. McCloskey graduated at Franklin Pierce Law Center (J.D., 2001); Tufts University (M.S.E.E., 2006); University of Massachusetts Lowell (Graduate Certificate, 2003); and California Polytechnic State University (B.S., 1998).

Gregory E. Heltzer in Washington, D.C. focuses on defending mergers and acquisitions before the Federal Trade Commission, Department of Justice, state antitrust authorities and foreign competition authorities. In addition, Mr. Heltzer's practice also includes complex antitrust litigation, government investigations and antitrust counseling. Mr. Heltzer earned his degrees from the Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., cum laude, 2003); and Dartmouth College (A.B., 1999).

Leah Samit Robinson (New York) focuses her practice on state and local taxation with particular emphasis on multi-state controversy matters and multi-state tax planning. Ms. Robinson regularly provides income/franchise tax, sales and use tax, and FIN48-related advice and representation to her clients. Prior to joining McDermott in 2006, Ms. Robinson was with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel’s Large and Mid-Size Business Division where she was a member of the strategic trial attorney team litigating the largest transfer pricing case in history. Kevin M. Bolan in Boston focuses his practice in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, antitrust, intellectual property, professional liability and white-collar defense.
