Seattle, Wa., USA - March 1, 2010, Seattle, Wa., USA - MOD Systems, a digital retailer company, announced that Will Poole and Dan Gerrity have joined the company's board of directors.

Mr. Poole has a 25-year history of running large product development and marketing organizations, and now is an independent social-technologist, primarily focused on applying technology to education. Mr. Poole is currently co-chairman of NComputing, which shipped its second millionth virtual desktop in 2009, deployed largely in schools in emerging markets.
Previously, Poole served as corporate vice president of the Unlimited Potential Group at Microsoft, co-leading efforts to bring social and economic opportunity to the “next billion.” As senior vice president, Windows Client at Microsoft, Poole delivered 30 percent of corporate revenues and shipped multiple versions of Windows.
Mr. Poole also created New Media Platforms for Windows and led other internet and digital media groups. Poole joined Microsoft in 1996 with the acquisition of eShop, an internet e-commerce pioneer that he co-founded in 1991. Poole serves on the boards of Pengala, the University of Washington’s I-LABS, and the Voices Education Project.
Mr. Poole received a degree in Computer Science from Brown University and is co-chair of the Boldly Brown campaign for the Pacific Northwest.
Mr. Gerrity is a seasoned technology executive with experience that spans entrepreneurial genesis through IPO and emerging growth companies. Mr. Gerrity is currently vice president of business development for Intellectual Ventures, a Nathan Myhrvold company, where he is responsible for commercializing the inventions Myhrvold and his team of scientists have developed and patented.
Previously, Gerrity served as the CEO of Naverus Inc., an aviation technology firm producing software for flight management systems, and president and CEO of Coinstar, Inc., an international consumer financial services company. Joining Coinstar in 1993 as the founding CTO, Gerrity progressed through COO, president, and CEO of the company, which went public in 1997. ■
