Austin, Tx., USA - September 24, 2013, Austin, Tx., USA - Mood Media Corporation announced that it has appointed Steven K. Richards as director, president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Richards is a senior executive with 29 years of experience in the Consumer/Business Services, Media, Technology, Communications and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industries.
Most recently he served as President of Mood Media and CEO of Muzak and prior to his tenure at Mood, he was the CEO of PRC.
From 2005 to 2008, he served as President of Transworld Systems and he spent nearly four years serving as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations for RMH Teleservice.
He started his career at AT&T, Inc., where he worked in operations and marketing across the organization for more than 14 years.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Penn State and has completed executive education programs at Penn State, Duke University and the University of Virginia.
The company also announced that Philippe von Stauffenberg, non-executive Vice Chairman of the Board since July 2010, has been elected Chairman.
Mr. von Stauffenberg is the founder of Solidus.
Between 2004 and 2010 he led two transactions in the media industry, investing in the German Klassik Radio franchise and developing the business to become the pre-eminent listed German Radio franchise.
During 2005, he also laid the foundations for the Mood Media transaction, where he led the financing and consolidation of the three European in-site media companies.
Mr. von Stauffenberg served as Executive Chairman until July 2010 when the business was sold to Fluid Music, which then became Mood Media Corporation.
He serves Klassik Radio as Vice Chairman and two environmental German companies as Chairman.
He holds a BA and MA in history from Harvard and earned a MBA from the Harvard Business School.
The company also announced that Chairman and CEO Lorne Abony is stepping down from both positions and will remain a director but does not plan to stand for re-election at the Company's next Annual General Meeting.
Mr. Abony is an entrepreneur with a strong track record in creating shareholder value.
He co-founded FUN Technologies in 2002, which was one of the fastest growing companies in the history of the Toronto Stock Exchange.
In March 2006, FUN Technologies was acquired by Liberty Media Corp.
Mr. Abony is a successful Canadian businessman and is a recipient of the prestigious top 40 under 40 award. ■
