DiGi Telecommunications and Telenor in Sweden have new CEOs

Fornebu, Norway - May 16, 2014, Fornebu, Norway - Telenor Group, a mobile communications services company, announced that DiGi Telecommunications has appointed Lars-Ake Norling as the new chief executive officer, effective August 1, 2014.

Mr. Norling currently holds the position of CEO in Telenor Sweden. A seasoned telecom executive, Mr. Norling joined the broadband provider Bredbandsbolaget in 1999, were he held a number of senior positions. In 2006, he was appointed Head of Telenor Sweden’s fixed network and a year later he took on the position as CTO of Telenor Sweden. Since April 2009, he has served as CEO of Telenor Sweden.

He will be succeeded by Patrik Hofbauer who will take on the role of CEO in Sweden, also effective August 1.
