Houston, Tx., USA - March 6, 2014, Houston, Tx., USA - Oiltanking Partners, L.P. (the "Partnership") announced that Kenneth F. Owen has been appointed as president and chief executive officer of the Partnership's general partner.

Mr. Owen will also serve on the Board of Directors of the company's general partner. Since joining Oiltanking in March 2011, Mr. Owen has served in a number of important roles at the company, including most recently as Terminal Manager of the Houston terminals, and, prior to that, as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Oiltanking, he advised clients in the MLP and midstream energy industry, including Oiltanking, as a financial professional in investment banking.
Anne-Marie Ainsworth has resigned as President, Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the company general partner.
Ms. Ainsworth has served as President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of the company's general partner and as President and Chief Executive Officer of OTA since November 2012. Prior to joining the Oiltanking Group, Ms. Ainsworth previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Sunoco Refining from November 2009 until March 2012.
Prior to joining Sunoco, Ms. Ainsworth was employed by Motiva Enterprises, LLC, where she was the General Manager of the Motiva refinery in Norco, Louisiana from November 2006 to October 2009. From December 2003 to November 2006, Ms. Ainsworth was Director of Management Systems & Process Safety at Shell Oil Products U.S., and from September 2000 to December 2003, she was Vice President of Technical Assurance at Shell’s Deer Park refinery.
Ms. Ainsworth holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Rice University, where she served as an adjunct professor from October 2000 to October 2009, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
The Partnership also announced that Christian Flach, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Executive Board of Marquard & Bahls AG ("M&B"), the parent company of Oiltanking, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company general partner. ■
