Omniflight Helicopters: Thomas Leverton new chief executive officer

Addison, Tx., USA - May 31, 2010, Addison, Tx., USA - Omniflight Helicopters, Inc. announced the appointment of Thomas Leverton to the role of chief executive officer, effective June 1.

Mr. Leverton joins Omniflight from TXU Energy, the largest electric market retailer in Texas, where he served as chief operating officer. In that role, Leverton had responsibility for operations, marketing, sales and technology.

Mr. Leverton also served in several roles at FedEx where he was chief development officer and handled a variety of functions over a six-year period, including nationwide marketing, pricing and new store expansion.

Mr. Leverton also gained experience in corporate strategy as a result of the role he held at consulting firm Bain & Company, including work in the airline industry. Leverton began his career in research, regulatory and product development for neurovascular catheters with Johnson & Johnson.

Mr. Leverton holds a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/materials science from Duke University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.

Mr. Leverton replaces Robert A. Peiser who will continue to serve on the Omniflight Board of Directors.

Mr. Peiser also was President and Chief Executive Officer at Imperial Sugar Company for more than six years; Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Vitality Beverages, Inc. and President and Chief Executive Officer at Orange-co, Inc.

Mr. Peiser is also affiliated with Wind Point Partners, having served as an executive advisory partner for approximately 10 years. Additionally, he has served on the boards of several of Wind Point’s portfolio companies.
