Mr. Vanacker has been the Head of Industrial Marketing and Innovation at Bayer MaterialScience, LLC since July 1, 2011 and Bayer MaterialScience AG since July 2011. He served as the Head of Polyurethanes Business of Bayer MaterialScience, LLC. He served as the Head of Polyurethanes Business Unit of Bayer MaterialScience AG from 2004 to July 2011.
Mr. Vanacker joined Bayer N.V. in 1990, as Technical Account Manager for Polyurethanes in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg. In 1994, he transferred to Bayer in Germany as Sales Manager for the global elastomers business and since 1996, he served as Head of Marketing for the electrical encapsulation segment and specialty raw materials. Mr. Vanacker served as Head of Polyurethanes for the South American market for Bayer. He transferred to the USA in 2001 and served as Vice President, Polyurethanes Specialties for the NAFTA region for Bayer.
Mr. Vanacker served as Senior Vice President and Head of the Polymer Solutions Division in the Americas region for Bayer since 2002. He served as Head of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region of the former subgroup Bayer Polymers since 2003. He serves as a member of the Executive Committee of Bayer MaterialScience and responsible for the Latin America Region.
