Peter Willcox ceases his Telstra directorship

Melbourne, Australia - August 27, 2009, Melbourne, Australia - Telstra announced that as a result of orders by the Supreme Court of New South Wales in ASIC v Macdonald, Peter Willcox has ceased to be a director of Telstra, effective immediately.

Mr Willcox had previously announced that he would not stand for re-election at the Telstra Annual General Meeting in November.

Mr. Willcox is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Chairs Mayne Pharma, is a director of the CSIRO and sits on the advisory board of CVC Asia Pacific (Australia) Limited.

Previously Mr. Willcox was the Chairman of AMP Limited and Mayne Group, sat on the Boards of Lend Lease, JH Faulding and James Hardie amongst others.
