Pure Wafer non-executive chairman to step down

Swansea, United Kigndom - March 21, 2014, Swansea, United Kigndom - Pure Wafer, a provider of services to the semiconductor industry, announced that Stephen Boyd is to step down as non-executive chairman but will remain a non-executive director.

Mr. Boyd has worked in a number of manufacturing industries, including five years as group chief executive of Capital Industries plc. He currently sits on a number of boards of both public and private companies, mainly in the technology sector and is currently Chairman of Pittards plc. He joined the board on October 1, 2008.

The company also announced that Peter Harrington will relinquish his current role as chief executive and take up the position of non-executive chairman.

Mr. Harrington is a co-founder of the company. He has more than 30 years industry experience in commercial and project management roles. He was previously finance executive with Meissner+Wurst.

The company also announced that Richard Howells will take on the role of chief executive.

Mr. Howells qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999 prior to joining KPMG's audit division. After this Mr. Howells joined Christie Tyler, before moving to Airborne Systems Group Limited. Whilst at Airborne Systems Group, he held the position of interim Group CFO.
