Richard L. George steps down from CP’s board of directors

Calgary, AB, Canada - June 27, 2012, Calgary, AB, Canada - Canadian Pacific Railway announced that Richard L. George has resigned from the CP board of directors.

Mr. George serves as the President of Suncor Energy Products, Inc. Mr. George served as the Chief Executive Officer of Suncor Energy Inc. from 1991 to May 2012. He served as the President of Suncor Energy Inc. from 1991 to December 1, 2011. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Petro-Canada since July 2009.

Prior to 1991, Mr. George served for 10 years in the international oil business at Sun Company, where he held various positions in project planning, production evaluation, exploration and production. He served as Managing Director of Sun Oil Britain Ltd. in the U.K. He has been an Independent Director at Canadian Pacific Railway Limited since 2011. He has been a Director at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation since May 2012. He has been a Director at Royal Bank of Canada since March 1, 2012. He served as a Director of Transocean Ltd. from November 2007 to February 11, 2011.

Mr. George served as a Non-Independent Management Director of Suncor Energy Inc. from February 1, 1991 to May 2012. He served as a Director of Enbridge Inc. since 1996 and GlobalSantaFe Corporation from July 2001 to November 2007. He served as a Corporate Director of ArcelorMittal Dofasco Inc. (formerly, Dofasco Inc.) since 1995. He served at Santa Fe International. He was the Chairman of Canadian Council of Chief Executives.
